((M'kay)) Artemis smiled briefly at hearing the exchange between Ify and Shadow, but was otherwise occupied with staring at a particularly gruesome Creature carved at the top of the main entrance. "Could we move on? I'd really like to discuss the situation further inside, since it's begun raining again." A few light raindrops had begun to fall, and Artemis instinctively reached for the large handle on the church door. As soon as her hand made contact with the cold iron she winced back, almost un noticabley, a strange expression on her face. "This place makes me uneasy... I'm not sure why..." She muttered, bewildered and empty, but pulled on the old oak door, and it lurched and groaned open.

Kayla followed sedately, eyes darting around the various statues. "This place is kinda creepy," she murmered. "I think it's the statues. The playing of the light makes them look almost...alive."
Shadow too was watching the statues, and the other nooks and crannies of the church. He moved slowly, careful not to touch anything as he stepped through the doorway, but the atmosphere of the church made him frown.
To test a theory, he moved to one side and let the back of one hand brush the walls, only the barest touch of skin, and...nothing. Next to one of the pews, moving away from the group now, and there a very faint residential warmth remained, old faith, but he had expected that. He was more careful around the rosaries left in the pews, and he was going to avoid the altar at all costs, but there was still something off. Something in the air, a faint smell that he recognized.
It was in the way that his senses tingled, like they did when someone passed a hand through him while he held his non-physical form, or like a word on the tip on his tongue. He knew this, and it was old, and it was jarring to find it here, in a church, where it cut through and nearly overshadowed the faith aspect.
"Death magic has been performed here," he said abruptly, raising his voice slightly for the other to hear.

The light from the stain glass windows cast odd shadows all over the rows of pews. Lilio sat in one of them, near the middle. He was the only one in here. He liked it here, it reminded him of home. However, he knew that he would learn nothing from the ways of home. It was as he thought of where to go next that the giant doors opened, and a group of odd people walked in. He decided to go meet them, perhaps these few people were a sign. "Hello," he said as he aproachec them, " I'm Lilio. And unless you are here for quiet, peaceful contemplation, you are in the wrong place."

(Sorry about the length of time betwen posts... between my new job, babysittin last night, Ms. Godbey's Project... ive had lots of stuff to do and havent been able to get on my precious pc =)
"Greetings Lilio" He held up his right index finger. "One moment please, I must inspect this place."
The ancient structure was massive. The arches looked as they had been constructed hundreds of years earlier. The interior of the cathedral was gorgeous. From the beautiful stained glass windows to the thin streams of light that filtered though the ancient ceiling. Dust floated in the air, making the light dance as it drifed though the place. The cathedral was quite eerie, however, it also had a feeling of peace. In the center lay an altar, which fit the room perfectly. Behind it lay a man, who looked as ancient as the cathedral itself.
He returned his gaze back to Lilio. "I apologize for our rashness but we really need to get going."

"Hello, Lilo," Kayla said, with a nod of her head. "I'm Kayla, and you're right. I am ready for quiet contemplation. I have never been more ready for quiet contemplation. I absolutely love quiet contemplation. However, first I've got to figure something out."
She rounded on Ify.
"What's your hurry?" she asked him, finally irritated and suspicious. "Everywhere we go, you insist we must continue. You can't even introduce yourself properly to this man, but instead brush him off. Where are you trying to take us?"
Later, she thought. I don't know what Shadow meant by what he said, or what it might mean for us, but i'll ask him later.

::Frank was watching. He walked over. "Hey listen man. I don't see why we can't confront this problem!." He spoke in almost a pridly kind of way. Like he had never been beaten and was ready to do anything that needed to be done. Again, he knew not what he was involved with. What nor who::

Arms splayed out on one of the pews, Mirianda rested her head. Too much of her energy had been used in the necromancy spell she had used to attempt to call her younger sister to her. Her hair was in a disarray from her fainting and her cheek rested against the usually cool seating. The skin began to slowly heat up at the touch of the object in the holy place. She continued to lie there not focusing on the increasingly searing pain on her skin that was touching the pew. Movement was lost to her and she was forced to have the flesh burn off of her at an antaganizingly sluggish pace. At least because of the spell she had used she could brush off a bit of the religious impact it had to her physical condition. The rest of her body lay in a heap below her, legs folded neatly to one side almost like she had just fainted to be dramatic. Her eyes were closed into a tight squint and was the only way you could truly tell how much pain she was in.

Shadow, having wandered off to sulk after his dramatic announcement was igored, was probably the first to come upon Mirianda and her predicament. He halted abruptly, head tilted to one side as he studied the situation with his strange golden eyes. She wasn't human, he could tell that at a glance.
I can smell her burning flesh.
With one hand, he grabbed the girl's wrist, levering her upright and off the pew with the least amount of physical contact possible. "How pathetic," he said, "to have let yourself fall like that. And tell me, were you performing necromancy here as a way to snub your nose at God or are you simply an idiot?"

"This is no place for hurry" Said Lilio. Indeed, the place abounded with tranquility. "Although if the lady's claims are true, I am curious as to where you are off to."

The pain suddenly ceasing made Mirianda curious. She wasn't exactly too sure about what happened so she allowed her head to roll to expose the full front of her neck. She opened her eyes, not exaclty easily and sat for a moment glancing at the stranger that was touching her. When her mind had finally comprehended that someone was in fact standing in front of her as opposed to an illusion, her eyes quickly darted to the point of contact between them. She narrowed her eyes and, struggling, managed to get her wrist away from him. She stood with great trouble and smoothed her dress as she did so. She rearranged her gloves and crossed her arms in front of her. Now prepared to answer to the stranger she let out a sigh. "Not that it really would have been anything for you to concern yourself with. If I had really meant to have snubbed my nose at God don't you believe I could have done it in a fashion that was a bit more grand?" she asked him raising an eyebrow questioningly as she waited for a possible change in facial expression. "Haven't you ever made a mistake before? And if you wouldn't mind, I would rather not be touched."

"You could have," Shadow said evenly. "But you did fall onto a pew afterwards, so I'm not entirely confident about your ability to manage anything more than a simple desecration. As for our unfortunate but brief physical contact, had you not made the mistake of falling I would not have had to initiate said contact. By all means, lay down again; this time I'll pass by."

"Not that it's any bussiness of yours, of course."Artemis shifted as she spoke, obviously uncomfortable in this grand place. "Why did we come here again?" She whispered half sarcasticly to Kayla.

(( Uh...who's Artemis talking to, the first person she addresses? Shadow's farther away, but you didn't specify... Oh, and nice avatars. My favorite is the anglophile. ))
"Apparently, we're going to be safer in here than we would have been at the inn," Kayla whispered back, not particularly making an effort to keep it a quiet whisper. "At least at the inn we had locks on the doors and a distinct lack of death magic, but he's very impatient to take us somewhere. Almost...suspiciously impatient, yes?"

"Well supposidly churches are supposed to be holy places, I figured we would be safer here but for some reason random people keep popping up...." He trailed off.... "Now, The reason I was in a hurry was to aviod people like...." he pointed at the death magic lady, "her.
Now I apologise for my rudeness but I am extremly tired after sprinting though the forest running from mad men, going into a pub with people jumping though windows and daggers flying into ceilings." He took a breath. "Then in an attempt to get away from all of it we go to a church where we run into these guys."
Sighing he slouched down into a pew, and put his head into his arms.
(Im having rp block, I was planning on going on an adventure with a couple people not an army, Im trying to figure out how we can get fifteen different people to the next morning.)
