Artemis caught her friends hand and gave it a quick squeeze. "I'd rather catch a ride, I think."

"Good idea," Kayla said approvingly, grinning. "We wouldn't want to accidently break anything, now would we? Hold tight."
There was a brief moment of tight pressure, and an insistant tugging on the link between Kayla and Artemis' hands, and then both girls were standing on ground level. Kayla let go of Artemis and blinked slowly. Shadow stood a few feet away, looking in the direction the barbarian had gone.

Jumping from the window sill, he lept and landed on the ground rolling. He straightened. "Well now, are we though showing off and can we get the hell out of here? I suggest we move quickly." He looked up at the sky. It had ceased raining, but how long would it hold? "Personally, I would rather not get soaked again I just finished drying off....

Artemis eyes flicked over to Ify."Hm? Oh, right, the church.Right over here, right? I thought I remembered passing it..." She walking briskly towards the outskirts of the small town, passing a few brave travelers making thier way home through the mud, the sky overhead rumbling its threat for more rain. "This part of the country really is more beautiful in the spring and sunshine." She mumbled patheticly as she looked down and saw her boots getting covered in the roads grey muck, even though she'd only taken a few steps.

Following Artemis' lead, the group followed her to the grand cathedral. It was enormous with oak doors that seemed to have been built for giants and gargoyles that stared down at anyone that entered. It was a wondrous example of the great architecture of the people here. It seemed as though their whole life was dedicated to the church and its beauty proved it. "What do you guys think of it?"

(( Sorry, randombarbarianguy. We do tend to move a little fast-paced, don't we? ))
Kayla looked suitably impressed, beaming up at the grand building "Ah, i love churches," she said happily. "There's something about them..."
Shadow looked less impressed, but then, he rarely was. He stared in sulking dismay at the large, ornamental cross on the front of the building. There's no safety here. It is too big, too hard to defend. Relying on the protection of common courtesy is so idiotic. He traced the contours of the building with his gold eyes, looking for possible means of entry.
If it were smaller, I would stay outside and cover the entrances... Then again, flinching away from the very walls is incredibly gauche. Perhaps I'll stay outside anyways.

"Alright, well I suggest we go inside and seek sanctuary. I am sure there is some underground hold where we can spend the night safely. There are enough of us here where we can switch off watches.... unless...." He looked over in Shadows direction "You don't need sleep do you? Would you mind keeping watch while we slept?"

Shadow raised an eyebrow. "Why wouldn't I need sleep?" he asked, his attention focused solely on Ify.

He looked up deep into Shadows eyes. "Well, back home I knew of a couple people who didn't require sleep, such as our battle commanders. They were trained yes, but they posessed special ablities that the rest of us didn't, thats why they were commanders. You could say I am quite observent, I have noticed several things about you that would let me guess that you were no normal man. You have many of the qualities of our commanders. For example, when the man appeared in the window you mearly blinked. The rest of us were quite disgruntled. Or, when we were looking for an escape from the tavern. You knew that there was a locked door at the end of the hall to the left, yet we had no idea. I guess you could have checked within the couple seconds between us going into the room and the fight down stairs, but I doubt it. Anyway, to make my point, though this whole ordeal you have seemed to know and be able to analyze exactly what was going on and the best way for us to get out of any predicament. No normal man would have many of these traits unless you were specifically trained by some unknown being. But I regress.... do you need sleep? Or do you not? We need to get out of here and figure out our next plan of action quickly. Out of all of us you are the only one I truly fear because your apparent absence of fear. You have seemed to be able to anticipate danger better than all of us, personally, I would feel much saver being watched by someone of your.... expertise." He shifted his weight uneasily.

::"If it's needed I can watch" Frank spoke out with a smooth voice he had not used before. His voice was like a subtle train which moved slowly but overran anything in it's way. "I have military expirence, and I know all about keeping watch." Frank would have mentioned a few more things about himself that would make him seem more trustworthy, but he wanted to see the reactions. He knew that anyone who allowed him to watch without question would be some one who needed not have a decission in the matter, and certainly they would not be on the top of the list for watch dubty themselves::

Shadow started to laugh, a surprisingly mellow sound. Kayla raised her eyebrows in surprise, watching him suspiciously. "I knew there was a door in the inn because I've been there before," he said, between his laughter. "I even said as much; there go your self-declared claims of strident observation. You're quite correct in assuming I'm not any normal human, but then again, there are none here who are. And why couldn't I simply have gained expertise through experience, or trial and error? Isn't that how it tends to work? Your theory is full of holes."
Luckily for you I'm extrodinarily vain. What an explanation! And such interesting things to ponder.
He smiled, using an old and easy trick to keep his small, kittenish fangs concealed. "But, as some bits of said theory were in fact quite close to the truth, I'll keep watch for you if Frank does not."
And if he does, doubtless I'll be on watch anyways.

Smiling Ify stated "Well, I guess we can figure this all out when we get inside, its going to rain in a few minutes I bet." He walked up to the huge oak door and heaved. It swung gracefully on its oiled hinges. Inside was a grand chamber filled with beautiful statues. "Wow"

((Meanwhile, back at the bar.))
Zeami analized the situation around him. Everything seemed to be in order, so he went dowstair to buy himself a drink, and later get on his hoarse to leave.
(( Just wanted to get him out of the way 'cause my new character should be coming in. But I didn't specify where he was going so he can come back in later if I need him.))
