I enjoy music that can alter my current mood. Much like a computer I remain null and void of thought at times, or so it seems. However, many times when I'm in such a state I come across a fine song, and then, all things seem to change. I usually go from bored, and increasingly sad, to happy very quickly. Usually the culprit to my increas in happiness, is a rock song. THUS I LOVE ROCK!

Well, I agree. Nothing can cure a state of melancholy like a great song. Personally I enjoy classical and rock the most.

I prefer, Classical Rock to be more exact. It's sad that in this day and time most music that is palyed on the radio does very very little to alter me into any mood other than an angry one. In which case I would be angry that the music that is "popular" sucks.

I like only certian bands, because ... well i dont know why. I cant really catagorize what sorta music i like, BUT i can say that i dont like country music, unless its really old stuff which nowadays is considered bluegrass.... even though its not. AND... in agreement with neith, the "popular" music does suck.

I dunno, i like some of it...Actually, what ususally happens is that everyone starts getting all excited over this new band, I scoff at them in their uniformed sheep-like structures, 8 months later when no one even remembers their names i find a CD and sit there going, 'Hey, this is pretty good...'
I find that i can into just about everything Heavy Metal, Opera, and Rap. Actually, though, i just got the 'Queen of the Damned' CD, which is basically screaming goth rock, so I suppose that might have changed now, too. And i like the songs from 'Phantom of the Opera', so that's out, but rap....
Rap is to music what Etch-A-Sketch is to art.

So, you probably will like Hinder in a few months (ooooooooopppps, BURN TO HINDER!)
And, that's an excellent point about rap. Here is what I have to say about rap. It is a thing that definately should be put into a fire barrel with about thirty gallons of my good friend gassoline.

I know! I really want to throw myself down some stairs when I hear "lips of an angel". Gah. And rap is... I dunno... just bad. I mean, all they ever talk about is shooting each other and thier "b*tches".

Hinder isn't too bad. 'Lips of an Angel' is kinda overrated, but i heard one of their other songs and it was actually pretty good. The main singer's voice is kinda raspy, though.

I personally listen to a lot of indie, techno, metal, & punk. I love opera, classical, alternative rock, & all that other good shizz that's too hard to fit into a category of music. =] Whenever I'm in a bad mood, I blast Aqua (yes, AQUA !) to make me happy. Something about 'Happy Boys & Happy Girls' makes me feel all giddy inside.

Most of my friends call me an "old school listener", because I listen mostly music of the 60s' and 70's. Some of my favorite songs that get me through the day are: "Isn't She lovely", "Sir Duke", and "My Cherie Amour" by Stevie Wonder. "In My Life", "The Fool On The Hill" and Across The Universe" by The Beatles. All these songs deal with peace, love, joy and happiness.
