Name: Xue-Li Xing
Age: fourteen and a half years old
Weight: confidential information
Height: five feet, two inches
Hair: black, a few inches below the shoulders
Eyes: almond-shaped, gray
Armor: none
Weapon: kwan-dao
Special Abilities: Xue-Li has two skills: clairvoyance and healing. The clairvoyance is pretty much straightforward, as it is inherited from her family. Her visions come in the form of dreams, which make them easily forgotten and very vaguely detailed. The Xing family's clairvoyance is stronger in her father and grandmother, who can actually see the visions while awake and also remember them. (Being asleep makes it easier for the boundary between visions and reality to be broken.)
Xue-Li's healing powers are another story. Although she can heal wounds, the ability goes beyond physical healing into spiritual healing. She can "heal"--or purify, for lack of a better term--someone's soul, but this requires too much aura to perform on a human. It's strongly suspected that expending so much aura would lead to Xue-Li's death.
Detail: Xue-Li is rather short. While she may not be called chubby, she certainly isn't slender either. Her hair is usually down, and she wears silver-rimmed glasses.
She usually wears a pastel-colored T-shirt with jeans, and a blue sweatshirt over that. Her usual footgear is white sneakers.
Background: Xue-Li's family--her grandmother, father, and mother--moved to America a year before Xue-Li was born. They all live in an apartment. Despite being raised in America, Xue-Li's English is not that fluent, and she often has trouble with pronounciation. Her Chinese is fairly decent, but is nothing compared to a native speaker's. While Xue-Li is not completely ignorant of America customs, she doesn't know anything when it comes to trends in entertainment. Her home life is very cultural.
Xue-Li's father taught her how to use the kwan-dao (a weapon similar to a glaive) starting at age ten. She has never fought with it, afraid that her clumsiness would lead her to injure things she didn't want to harm (like herself). Her grandmother teaches her in healing.
Personality: Xue-Li is very shy, polite, and introspective, perhaps because she is not very familiar with American life. She loves to read fantasy books, especially those involving dragons. When she first meets strangers, she never takes the initiative unless necessary and will not say a word unless first spoken to.
With her friends, however, Xue-Li is more open and sarcastic. When talking about people she dislikes, Xue-Li is often sarcastic to the point of scathing--although she would never carry out her threats.
Xue-Li is very arachnophobic, and is also scared of death. She also is scared of having to talk in front of large groups of people, and fidgets constantly. Her family reprimands her for biting her nails, but she does it anyways.
