I listen to a great mix of music, pretty muche verything except for pop music and boybands and that shit. I will give ya'll this. . .new age rap that talks only about dope and hoes and shooting people is dumb, but the old school rap is really good. That's taken from their real pain, and it comes from the heart. Most rappers in today's realm just do it for money. When I'm feeling depressed, or just bored, I listen to metallica, cause it also was written from real experiances filled with emotion. (excellent example, God That Failed, James wrote after his mother, a religouis woman, died of cancer). If I'm in a particularly good mood, I'll listen to some jazz or techno or classical music. If I'm just riding along in the car, depending on who else is in the car with me, it's either classic rock or country. But seriously, listen to some of the older rappers that aren't rapping anymore. It's a hell of a lot better than today's shit. Still, I don't listen to rap much, it's mostly rock and metal.

I listen to classical or Japanese pop/rock mostly, but if the song has a good rhythm and good music, I'll listen to it.
Classical music soothes or saddens me. Japanese pop music makes me hyper/happy. (Is it possible to get hyper off of music? O.o)

Rap is to music what Etch-A-Sketch is to art. so what your saying is that rap is fun, ever evolving, and can be shaken up to erase the mistakes? lol you know, most people talk about how they hat popular, or "pop", music, but some of it is good. its just that i can't think of any good examples at the moment. of course, many bad examples do pop up. Panic! at the disco, green days new stuff, and, as i stated elsewhere, almost anything Q94 plays. oh, how i hate Q94. i pray to lucifer to, you know, smite he building or something. at least get rid of the electricity. oh, rock'n'roll ( classic and new), heavy metal, classical, light metal, techno, some j-pop, vg music, ska, sorta heavy, but still light, metal, jazz, big band, and swing. fenrir's tusks, i like about everything. lol, shoulda said that. sorry to rant on so and kill... oh... 3 minutes of your life. 4 minutes now.

Ah, I love the Beatles. Love love love love love. My favorites of theirs are 'Lady Madonna,' 'Eleanor Rigby,' and either 'Blackbird' or 'I am the Walrus.'
And yes, i realize this has very little to do with the post before mine, but i'd just realized i hadn't fangirled over them yet. So. Beatles. Yay.
